Press Release- ACE Announces New Executive Director
Little Rock, AR (May 3, 2012) – The Arkansas Coalition for Excellence (ACE) Board of Directors concluded a thorough six-month long search by selecting Stephanie F. Meincke, MSW as ACE’s new Executive Director effective June 5, 2012. Meincke is the former CEO of Florida's child abuse prevention network, The Family Source, and the Mississippi Campus Compact, a statewide association of higher education presidents committed to service-learning and civic engagement. She is a graduate of Florida State University and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She was a long-time board member for the Mississippi Center for Nonprofits and currently teaches Nonprofit Management at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Stephanie comes to ACE from the Arkansas Department of Health where she managed a grant portfolio of nearly $10 million. Diane LaFollette, ACE Board Chair, introduced Meincke to the ACE Membership through a letter earlier today. “We feel fortunate to have found such a qualified new leader for ACE and Arkansas’ nonprofit sector,” stated LaFollette. “We are confident that Stephanie has the knowledge, passion and leadership skills to continue to carry out the mission of ACE, to strengthen Arkansas nonprofits.” The Arkansas Coalition for Excellence (ACE) is Arkansas’ nonprofit association and representative in the National Council of Nonprofits. Since 2003, ACE has worked vigorously to build a stronger, more vibrant nonprofit sector in Arkansas. ACE accomplishes this effort through its advocacy work on public policy issues affecting all nonprofits at the state and national level; access to affordable products and services; education and technical assistance; research and information sharing, and network building. The membership of over 300 is an energetic coalition of nonprofits, foundations, businesses and individuals representing all four corners of the state and everywhere in between.
