Maxie Carpenter, Rogers, AR
Director of Operations, Samaritan Community Center Maxie has 37+ years of experience, including but not limited to, Organizational Development,Talent Development, Global Leadership Development, Strategic Planning, and Process Management. He's also recognized as an authority and accomplished speaker on the subject of Corporate Culture. Currently, Maxie is an Adjunct Professor in the Advanced Degree Program at John Brown University, providing experiential instruction in Leading Change, Mission~Vision~Values, Building Teams, Foundations of Leadership, and Ethical Decisions in Organizations. He's a member of the faculty of Consultants Gold, an organization that assists entrepreneurs with the transition from the traditional workforce into the consulting industry. Maxie’s also a consulting resource for facilitation and curriculum development for the Talent Development group of Wal-Mart Stores and his latest collaboration is Professional Instruction with The Life Long Learning Center of Northwest Arkansas, an organization providing affordable continuing education for individuals, groups and organizations in the community and the marketplace.
Erika Krennerich Chudy, Jonesboro, AR Erika received her Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from ASU in 1998 and her Master’s in Business Administration from ASU in 2000. For the past 10 years she worked for the U.S. House of Representatives, specifically Congressman Berry, in both Arkansas as District Director and Washington D.C. as Chief of Staff. Currently, she is the Director of Planned Giving, Arkansas State University, Jonesboro, AR, and the Membership Chair of the Arkansas Charitable Gift Planning Council, and serves on the Jonesboro Rotary membership committee. Erika is married to Dustin Chudy of Cabot, AR and has one son, James Luke who is almost 2 years old.
Jamie Collins, Paragould, AR Jamie is the Executive Director of Mission Outreach of Northeast Arkansas in Paragould, AR. As a member of ACE since 2007, she has participated in numerous ACE sponsored workshops and gatherings in Little Rock as well as in northeast Arkansas. She says, “Each time I have attended such a meeting, I have gleaned new ideas, new perspectives and learned new possibilities for collaboration with other leaders in the nonprofit, corporate and foundation arenas. As you can see, I have a heart to unite nonprofits to achieve common purposes and to provide a forum for networking, collaboration and education. I look forward to any opportunity to serve ACE in a new capacity.”
Jody Dilday, Fayetteville, AR With more than 10 years in social services work and nonprofit development and administration, Jody Dilday’s skills include strategic planning; program design, implementation and evaluation; grant-writing and grant management; board development; and community and volunteer engagement. She has served as the executive director of the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas since 2007 and, prior to that, was the Director of Development and Community Relations for the Northwest Arkansas Chapter of the American Red Cross. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
Andra Dillard, Little Rock, AR Andra has been in financial services since 1981, first in insurance and then investments. She worked for Smith Barney and predecessor firms from 1987 through 2004 and joined Delta Trust Investments in January 2005. She uses the availability of the trust department to guide clients through succession planning. She says that better research and better financial planning tools have enabled her to serve clients in a more comprehensive way. The trust advisors at Delta Trust & Bank play a major part in her practice in the complimentary review of clients’ wills and trust documents. Andra received her B.S.E. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and her MEd. from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
Marian Evans Lee, Pine Bluff, AR Program Coordinator, U of A Pine Bluff Minority Initiative Sub-Recipient Grant Office Marian is the Program Coordinator for the Minority Initiative Sub-Recipient Grant Office (MISRGO) at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff™ (UAPB). Dr. Evans-Lee’s background consists of over 10 years of experience in program planning and development, capacity building and program. In 2002, Dr. Evans-Lee completed a Master of Public Health degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, and completed her Doctor of Public Health degree in Public Health Leadership from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health.
Sarah Gentry, Little Rock AR Sarah is a manager with Hudson, Cisne, & Co. LLP, the fifth largest CPA firm in Arkansas, providing assurance, tax and other services to private and non-profit organizations. In addition to her role as manager, Sarah participates in the firm’s A&A, Technology, and Education & Training Committees. Her reas of service concentration are Audit and Tax and her industry expertise includes: financial institutions, construction contractors, not-for-profit organizations and employee benefit plans. Sarah has over 8 years of experience in public accounting. A 2002 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Henderson State University, she holds a B.B.A. in Accounting and is a 2003 honor graduate of Henderson State University with an M.B.A. in Accounting.
Dan Herrington, Little Rock, AR Dan is a partner in the Labor and Employment Litigation Section of Friday, Eldredge & Clark. His practice is focused on representing employers in all areas of labor and employment law, including ADA, FMLA, Wage and Hour, Title VII, OSHA, and NLRA. His practice includes not only representation of employers before courts, arbitrators, and administrative bodies, but also working closely with clients to ensure compliance with the myriad of employment laws. He has successfully argued before the Arkansas Supreme Court as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Marianne Layne, Hot Springs AR Marianne received her Master of Arts degree in Education and Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. She is currently the Development Director of St. John’s School in Hot Springs, AR. She was on the board of directors for Main Street El Dorado and the American Red Cross. Her many community activities include the El Dorado Call to Action, the El Dorado Service League, The Chamber of Commerce and Arkansas Children’s Hospital. She is a past member of Leadership Arkansas and Hot Springs Fifty for the Future.
Kelly Hunt Lyon, Conway, AR Kelly is a fifth generation Arkansan. She grew up in Hardy and graduated from Lyon College (formerly Arkansas College) in Batesville. She is now the Director of the Center for Community and Economic Development (CCED) and Community Development Institute (CDI Central) at the University of Central Arkansas. She has over twenty-two years of experience in economic development, state government, higher education and the private sector. She’s also an adjunct instructor and completing her EdD. degree.
Diane LaFollette, Little Rock, AR Diane has been with the Museum of Discovery since 1997 when she began as the project director for a four year grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to establish a health initiative for that museum. She became the Director of Education of the museum in 2001. When the Donald W Reynolds Foundation awarded the Museum of Discovery a planning grant to investigate the possibility of putting together a state-wide network of museums in 2003, Diane was hired as the Network Coordinator. In 2006, the Network was awarded over $10 million by the Reynolds Foundation to implement the plans. Diane has a Bachelor’s degree in secondary education from the University of Missouri in Columbia and a Graduate Certificate of Nonprofit Management from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
W. Taylor Marshall, Little Rock, AR Taylor received his undergraduate degree from Washington & Lee University in 2005 with a B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration. Prior to attending law school, he worked for Ernst & Young in Washington, D.C., in its National Tax Office. In 2009, Mr. Marshall graduated with high honors from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. While attending law school, he served as an Associate Notes Editor of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Law Review. Taylor is a member of Phi Kappa Phi. He was also nominated by the UALR Bowen Law School Publications Committee to the National Order of Scribes. Taylor is a member of the American, Arkansas and Pulaski County Bar Associations.
Gina Moran, Little Rock AR Gina is a partner with Hudson, Cisne, & Co. LLP, the fifth largest CPA firm in Arkansas providing assurance, tax and other services to private and non-profit organizations. In addition to her role as partner, Gina leads the firm as Director of Accounting & Auditing. Gina is a graduate from the University of Central Arkansas and holds a B.B.A. She is a graduate of Leadership Greater Little Rock Class XXIII and was recognized as a 2011 Arkansas Business 40 under 40 Honoree. Gina has a passion for devoting her time to working with professional and charitable organizations such as the Arkansas affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, CARTI, and the Gaines House, for which she currently serves as Treasurer and on the Board of Directors. Most recently, Gina joined the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-South Council.
Dr. Amy H. Pitchford, Conway, AR Professor, University of Central Arkansas Amy has been a professor in public relations at the University of Central Arkansas since 1999. She teaches courses in public relations management, campaign planning, organizational communication and leadership. She is accredited in public relations (APR) and serves as the faculty advisor for the UCA chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). She has a Ph.D. in organizational leadership from Regent University, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and a master’s degree in communication from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Her research has focused on the relationship between organizational learning and leadership in the context of a Fortune 500 learning organization. In addition to her role in higher education, she has served as a research consultant and offers coaching and consulting services in organizational analysis, strategic planning, leadership development, and performance training.
Cynthia VanWinkle, Little Rock, AR Cynthia is President and CEO of Circle Communications Network, LLC, providing planning and consulting services for leaders of nonprofit organizations in Arkansas, nationally and internationally. She also is a principal partner in MillionMark Consulting Group, LLC. She previously was Senior Vice President for the Arkansas Children's Hospital Foundation. She is past president of the Arkansas Charitable Gift Planning Council / Partnership for Philanthropic Planning, past president of the Arkansas Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, past board chair for LEAVE A LEGACY® Arkansas, and past board chair of the Arkansas Coalition for Excellence. She also is a member of National Association of Women Business Owners, the Arkansas Women’s Leadership Forum, and the Rotary Club of Little Rock, Club 99. Cynthia was selected one of the “Top 100 Women in Arkansas” by Arkansas Business, and she received the “Arkansas Fundraising Executive of the Year” award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Debbie Watts, El Dorado, AR Debbie has been employed with SHARE Foundation over 22 years and has held a variety of titles and positions along the way increasing her experience and knowledge in non profit fundraising, organizational development, financial oversight and marketing. She supervises a staff of nine talented team players in administration, human resources and public relations. Her current position has allowed the opportunity to interact with over 70 non profits operating within Union County in her capacity as Grants Manager for grants that SHARE Foundation awards. Outside volunteer participation includes the T.O.U.C.H Coalition (Tremendous Opportunities for Union County Health) and the ACE Southwest Arkansas Regional Council. T.O.U.C.H. coalition members represent a broad community spectrum that works to improve the level of health in Union County through awareness, education, partnership, prevention, and delivery of health care resources and services so individuals achieve full and active lives.
Jacob Wells, Little Rock, AR Jacob has over 20 years of public accounting experience, with specific focus in the nonprofit area including 14 years with JPMS Cox, PLLC after seven years with Ernst & Young, LLP. Jacob served six years on the founding board of directors of the Arkansas Coalition for Excellence where he served as Treasurer and Chairman of the finance committee. Jacob currently serves on the finance committee of the Board of Directors of the Central Arkansas Area Agency on Aging, Inc. Jacob also served on the board of directors of Nonprofit Resources, Inc. where he was Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee.
